Pack Ice Fishing
January 10 (9:30 -10:30 am)
Lake Ann Park, Chanhassen
The pack will provide bait and hot cocco. Spare fishing rigs are available.
Cubs may complete the requirements for the fishing belt loop if they fish for about an hour and
answer some fishing questions with either Chris Layeux or Jim Walker.
Cubs should wear their uniform or a scouting T shirt to this event and should dress for the weather.
Pack Monthly Planning Meeting
January 15 (7:00pm)
Chanhassen Library, Chanhassen
Each den is asked to send a representative to the monthly planning meeting.
January Pack Meeting - Indoor Campfire Event
January 22 (7:00-8:00pm)
Chanhassen Elementary, Chanhassen
This pack meeting will feature an indoor camp fire with a skit or song from each den.
Den Leaders and the Pack Committee will have a grand finale skit. We will also try
something new - a walk-on box. This is an opportunity for older cubs to have a more
participatory role at pack meetings.
Schedule of races for the Pinewood Derby will be available. This is a full dress uniform event.
Polar Cubs Day Camp
January 31 (All Day)
Phillippo Scout Reservation, Cannon Falls, MN
This is a one day winter day camp sponsored by the council. You must contact Jim Walker to register.
A 1 to 8 ratio of adults to webelos, a 1:8 ratio of wolf and bear cubs, and a 1 to 1 ratio
of adults to tiger cubs, is required. A minimum of two adults must attend. Adults and
cubs have lots of fun. Siblings may not attend.
The cost is $27 per cub and $9 per adult which includes a hot (indoor) lunch. The council never issues refunds.
A car pool sign up will be available at the January Pack meeting. Cubs should wear their uniform or a scouting
T shirt to this event and should dress for the weather.
Pinewood Derby
February 7 (8:00am-11:30am)
Holy Family Catholic High School, Victoria
Cubs will race by age level with trophies being presented to the top three finishers at each age level.
The top two finishers will race again in the pack finals.
One trophy will be awarded for each age level for the kids choice car.
Cubs should wear their full dress uniform for this event.
