Is your son the Denner for the month? Don't panic, it's a lot of fun! The Boy Scout Trail web site has meeting, song, craft and game ideas for every rank.
Beyond the Ranks There are lots of other awards beyond the rank badge! Here are just a few examples of other awards.
Earn the Cub Scouting Outdoor Activity Award You can earn it each rank year and add a wolf track to the patch!
Check out the Academic and Sports belt loop and pin requirements. The pack  will award a specific belt loop to a scout only twice -- once as a Cub (Tiger, Wolf, Bear) and once as a Webelos.  But there's plenty to choose from so try something new! You can work on these alone, with your den or at camp.
How about the Summertime Award? Just attend at least one Pack, District or Council event for June, July and August!
Scouts can earn the Good Turn for America award by participating with the pack in at least one of the following annual activities: Scouting for Food, Spring or Fall park cleanup and Salvation Army Bell Ringing. Each calendar year, a year strip can be earned. For more information on the national program, click here.
The BSA Family Award leads your family through a group of activities to strengthen your family bonds and increase your enjoyment of scouting. It can be earned once every twelve months. This program does not follow the rank or calendar year, each family works on their own. Check here for more information.
Learn how to protect our outdoors and earn the Leave No Trace award. You can work on this each rank year, the pack will award it to you once.
Webelos have two more awards they can earn. The Super Achiever is earned by completing ALL the Activity Pins. The Summit Achievement Award is earned by doing some things while a Webelos and some additional items after bridging to Boy Scouts. The boy's original Pack presents this award.
Attendance Award The first year this is earned, you receive the pin and a "1 Year" hanger. Each subsequent year, you receive the next year hanger to add below the previous ones. How do you qualify? Miss only two pack or den events during the school year.
The World Conservation Award can be earned once during your Cub Scouting career.
The Religious Emblem program shows that a "Scout is Reverent". Each religion has it's own program and requirements. The scout works on it with his family and religious organization.
